PalBreedingCalculator.co started as a personal spreadsheet and turned into a full breeding companion because alt-tabbing mid-session got old fast. Here's who we are, how the calculator works under the hood, and why we built it this way.

Our mission is simple: make breeding math disappear
Palworld's breeding system is deep and genuinely clever — but it's also completely invisible. There's no in-game screen that shows a Pal's breeding power, no tooltip that explains the averaging formula, and no indicator that a pairing is about to waste a rare catch on an ordinary result. Most players learn this the hard way, usually after burning a Cake and an incubation cycle on an offspring they didn't want.
We built this calculator so that step disappears. Pick two Pals, see the real result, and get back to actually playing the game instead of squinting at a community spreadsheet in a second monitor.
From personal notes to a public tool
A messy spreadsheet
The first version of this database was a single tab with three columns: Pal, power value, and a guess. It worked, barely, for one player planning one breeding chain.
Sharing it with a guild
Once a small Discord community started using the sheet to plan base teams, the gaps became obvious — no search, no mobile view, no way to double-check a pairing before committing to it.
Rebuilding it as a real tool
We rebuilt the whole thing as a lightweight, in-browser calculator: instant search, live results, and a save list for multi-step chains — everything the spreadsheet never had.
Opening it up publicly
PalBreedingCalculator.co is that tool, cleaned up and made free for anyone to use — plus a growing set of guides so newer breeders aren't stuck guessing either.
How we source and verify breeding data
Every result the calculator produces comes from the same two-step logic the game itself runs: average the two parents' hidden breeding power, then match to the nearest species, with a small set of hard-coded special combos overriding that formula entirely. We don't invent shortcuts or simplify the math — the formula in our calculator is the formula in the game.
The breeding power values that feed that formula are compiled from community testing, patch notes, and cross-referencing multiple independent sources against each other. When Palworld ships a balance update or adds new Pals, we review the affected values and correct anything that's drifted. If you ever spot a result that doesn't match what you saw in-game, that mismatch is almost always a value worth double-checking on our end — and we'd genuinely like to hear about it.
Found a discrepancy?
Breeding data drifts after major patches faster than most tools admit. If a result here doesn't match your in-game egg, let us know through the contact page with both parent names and what actually hatched — reports like that are how this stays accurate.
