Overview
PalBreedingCalculator.co ("we," "our," "the site") is a free, fan-made Palworld breeding tool and guide site. We built the breeding calculator to run entirely in your browser, so it needs very little information about you to work. This policy covers the site as a whole, including the calculator, blog, and every other page.
We are not affiliated with Pocketpair, Inc. This policy only covers PalBreedingCalculator.co — it doesn't apply to Palworld the game, or to any third-party site or service we link to.
Information we collect
We keep collection to what's actually useful for running and improving the site:
- Information you give us directly — if you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you include: your name, email address, and message. We only use this to reply to you.
- Usage data — like most websites, our hosting and any analytics tools we use may automatically log standard technical details such as browser type, device type, approximate location (derived from IP address), pages visited, and time spent on the site. This helps us understand what's working and fix what isn't.
- Data the calculator stores in your browser — see the section below. This never leaves your device.
We do not require an account to use any part of the site, and we do not knowingly collect payment information, since the site is free.
Local storage & the calculator
The breeding calculator uses your browser's built-in localStorage to remember two things: your light/dark theme preference, and any breeding combinations you choose to save with the star button. This data is stored only on your own device — it is never transmitted to us, never visible to us, and never shared with anyone. Clearing your browser's site data, or using the calculator's own "Clear" and "Remove" controls, deletes it instantly.
Cookies & similar technologies
We may use a small number of cookies for essential site functionality and, if enabled, aggregate analytics (for example, to see which guides are most read). Cookies are small text files a site can ask your browser to store. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings — doing so may affect some non-essential features but won't stop the calculator itself from working, since that relies on localStorage, not cookies.
Third-party services
A few outside services support the site:
- Google Fonts — we load the Inter typeface from Google's font CDN, which may log standard request data (like IP address) as part of serving the font file.
- Hosting provider — our web host processes standard server logs to keep the site running and secure.
- Analytics (if enabled) — if we add an analytics tool such as Google Analytics or a privacy-focused alternative, it will collect aggregate, anonymized-where-possible usage statistics under that provider's own privacy policy.
We don't control these third parties' own data practices — we'd recommend checking their individual privacy policies if you want the full picture.
How we use information
Whatever information we do collect is used to: respond to messages sent through the contact form or email; understand overall site usage so we can improve guides, fix bugs, and prioritize new tools; and keep the site secure and running reliably. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Sharing of information
We don't sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers who help us run the site (like our hosting provider or an analytics tool), only as needed for them to provide that service, and we may disclose information if required to by law or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.
Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Since we collect very little personal data in the first place — mostly just what you send us directly — most requests are as simple as emailing us and asking. We'll respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
You can also, at any time: clear your browser's saved combinations and theme preference through the calculator's own controls or your browser settings; block cookies through your browser; and use ad-blocking or tracking-protection extensions, which won't break any core functionality of the calculator.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-audience gaming resource and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information (for example, through the contact form), please reach out and we'll remove it.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we handle, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. We can't guarantee absolute security, and we'd encourage you not to send sensitive personal information through the contact form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example, if we add a new analytics tool or feature that changes what data we handle. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when that happens. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
